STRASS 244 Jewelry Glue - 30ml. Strass 244 is a special, colorless, solvent-based, one-component adhesive for bonding gemstones -rhinestones, imitation stones, or glass stones- up to a maximum diameter of 5 mm -equivalent to SS 22-. Strass 244 leaves no strings and can therefore be used drop by drop in the practical tube with a dosing tip. Ideal for bonding small artificial leather, rhinestones, or glass stones, especially to metal, but also to materials such as glass, ceramic, wood, and many hard plastics. Not suitable for bonding PVC, Styrofoam®, PE, PP, rubber, nylon, or other soft plastics, as these are dissolved or decomposed by the solvents it contains.
Strass 244 dries to a crystal-clear finish. The adhesive edges are therefore barely visible. Even after prolonged exposure to light or aging, no visible discoloration -yellowing- of the bonded area is noticeable.
The special features of our rhinestone adhesive lie, among other things, in its precise adhesive application and delayed initial curing. This allows the glued stones to be positioned for several minutes without the drying process starting.
Plastic gemstones cannot be bonded with Strass 244, as many plastics are dissolved by the solvents contained in the adhesive.
For larger gemstones -from Ø 5 mm-, we recommend our HASULITH® Multi-Purpose Adhesive.
